Ironically, near the end of the war in Europe, the Japanese American GIs of the 442nd [Nisei Regimental Combat Team] broke through the German defensive “Gothic Line” in northern Italy, and were among the first to liberate the Nazi Concentration camp in Dachau, Germany. However, the U.S. military commanders decided it would be bad public relations if Jewish prisoners were freed by Japanese American soldiers whose own families were imprisoned in American concentration camps… the Japanese American soldiers who liberated Dachau were MIH - Missing in History

Subway

Today, I went to subway with two friends. Dinner time - 6:00pm. Four people ahead of us, only one person working. 10 minutes later, its my turn

“We’re out of bread”

1. Why was there only one person working at dinner time?

2. Why did they run out of bread?

3. Why did he not notice he had less than four loaves left and not tell us 10 minutes earlier?

I don’t know.
